L4D

Player 1's take:

What is there to say? This game was made for coop in every sense, playing coop with 3 other players is a blast!! I have always been a fan of zombies and this game just does it brilliantly.

Playing with your comrades you have to constantly be aware where they are and if they are still up and running for that matter. The game makes use of medkits and pain pills to keep you going after taking a beating from some rotting carcass, the nice thing about in terms of coop is that these medkits can be used to heal yourself or your team mates. More often than not there is always one guy in the team that just loves to take a beating and you end up having to use your precious medkit to heal them.

The game as has been mentioned is based on team work and the guy that tries to be rambo ussually is the one that ends up being zombie bait.

All in all I had a lot of fun playing this with my buddies and would recommend it to any hardcore co-op guys or gals out there.

8.5/10

Halo Wars

Player 1's take:

I am honest in saying I think this is one of the best coop experiences around, I know strategy is not everybody's cup of tea but the coop in this game is just plain brilliant.

There are basically 15 campaign missions to be played in coop and depending on the difficulty you decide to play on the game can be a totally different experience on each level of difficulty.

Each player has control of some of the units created and has the ability to give over control of their units to the other player, so what happens is one player can decide to be in control of all the units and the other in control of building the base or both can have some units and both can work on the base.

What me and my buddy usually does is one takes a bunch of units to go and explore the map while the other works on the base and keeps some units to defend the base. Netcode was very good and there was little to no issues with lag.

The story line of the game is brilliant and the cutscenes as always are amazing. I really enjoy the coop in this game and am giving it a solid 9/10 (Player 1)

PLAYER 2's take:

Halo Wars... starting the fight that you Finished in Halo 3.
Co-operative real time strategy is rather new to me and I'm happy to report that Halo Wars does it splendidly!
It takes the term coop seriously as both players (or up to 3 a side for MP fun), shares the resource pool.
So make sure you play with your MIC on! Communication, Planning and yes Strategy is key to win any one of the 15 single player missions and naturally a must to win any Multilayer match.
You can even 'gift' any units under your command to your coop partner.
Very cool.
The games is loads of fun and a absolute must for Halo and RTS fans alike.
The fantastic Coop implementation is simply the cherry on a already impressive cake.
Player 2 Coop Score: 10/10

Saints Row 2 Coop

Ok so as we all know Saints Row 2 is the hopped up version of GTA 4 and it is certainly hopped up I have heard it being described as GTA on acid.

In my opinion the online coop is very smooth and fun to play, I have been playing with one of my very good friends and clanmate J4NR1K and we have been having an absolute blast.A great part of the coop is that you are not tied together as in so many online coop games these days, one player can be doing his own thing while the other is on the other side of the map. Doing missions is also quite simple as soon as one player accepts they both are teleported together and the fun starts.

You can decide to either mess around and take for example a septic tank truck to go spray some neighbourhoods or you can be goal oriented and go for the missions, messing around is encouraged though as it gives you rep which is needed to play missions in the game.

Overall I think the coop experience is great and I am giving it 9/10 (Player 1).

Saints Row 2 - Player 2's take on it

Pimp your GTA!

This game puts the fun firmly in control and flips the bird to the rest.
If only all COOP sandbox games where this mad, this fun, this awesome!

Both players can roam free and cause havok anywhere, any time.
The netcode could be a little better, but then again, syncing a entire city to 2 consoles is no small thing and the Devi did a great job on it.

If your in the mood for cooperative mayhem and madness, meet a buddy in the 'hood and unleash your inner anarchist.

Player 2 core: 9/10 for coop fun!
